I don't recommend the coil mounting position shown in the pic. It is not mounted vertically so air can rise between the mounting plate and coil fins to promote the proper cooling of the coil pack.
The picture of the Compu-Fire kit on the blue type 1 engine is from a Doghouse customers car that has a 3" lift kit on it.
I recommend the coil mounting position shown in the pic. It is mounted vertically so air can rise between the mounting plate and coil fins to promote the proper cooling of the coil pack. I also drill small holes into the shroud, through the coil mount bracket, so the fan can throw cool air onto the back of the coil pack.
