Replace your 12 volt generator (or worn out alt) with a new 51 amp Brazilian (part# 9454-7) alternator.
Kit includes: A new Brazilian 51 amp alternator, an alternator stand to replace your old stand. A 3 piece tin set saves you from having to clean 50 years of junk off the old set. An alt strap. A new zinc pulley for the alt and a new belt.

I recommend the part# 16-5161 stainless T bolt alternator strap we sell.
This kit is a good start if you plan on converting from 6 volt to 12 volt also.
Get part 9524-B shroud screws so you can put it together with new screws.
Also get a 113 101 221B new alt stand gasket so you don't have a leak when you're all done.
Consider tool 5761 for ease of removing your old oil filler from the gen stand.
