These install with a 12mm wrench
use a 3/8-18 npt tool to tap (and a 37/64 drill bit) for the pilot hole
Another use for this fitting is shown on a sandrail's oil filler (drilled & taped at an angle), where the common straight fitting would've caused us to use another 6" of breather line.
We also used it to create a hidden hose situation to enable a super clean shot to a breather on the back side of a shroud via a stainless steel tube that passes through it.
