Description:
Works with bug engines with flat cam gears & 8mm stud holes.
Precision machined from aluminum for maximum performance.
These pumps feature high capacity 32mm gears.
Provides increased oil pressure, flow and volume.
Pump is full flow ready, WITHOUT an exit passage port. NO need to thread the oil pump body.
Packaged with a matching EMPI Billet Aluminum, smooth, Polished Cover with a 3/8"NP threaded boss, 8mm Allen Head Cap Screw Bolts and gaskets.
Empi packaged.
Note: tapping the oil galley in the engine case OR adding a 16-9517 oil return fitting is necessary to complete a full flow system.
Caution: Anytime a large geared or brand new oil pump is installed in an air cooled vw engine, it is likely that you will experience higher oil pressures than you had before. Exactly how high depends on the circumstances or condition of the engine or it's build. It is possible that the pressure will be higher than expected and modifications will be needed to lower the pressure to acceptable levels. Consult your favorite vw mechanic for advice on this subject.
