linkage crossbar kit universal kit for Solex or Brosol, HPMX, EPC, IDF, ICT & IDA Empi
Part number:
17-2945
Your cost:
$125.00
Description:
Twist-Style Dual Carb linkage.
Fits Solex or Brosol (AND THE OTHER CARB MENTIONED IN THE TITLE ABOVE) dual carbs.
Features the best and strongest combination of components:
Billet aluminum stand
5/16" Steel Pivot Bolt
Steel Linkage Pivot
3/8" Aluminum Linkage Rods with adjustable Heim Joints
Stamped Steel carb linkage arms
Ideal on type 1 engines from 1300cc on up
Empi packaged.
As shown, will NOT work without making your own twist lever assembly (cut, fabricate, weld) with HPMX or IDF carbs when an original equipment fan shroud is used.
Also, both short & long round linkage arms must be bent slightly to clear the alt stand and distributor.
Also, both existing linkage brackets on the carb have a tab sticking out, that must be cut off, so you can reach full throttle.
Also, the 'extension tab' that fastens to the carb at #2 position should be welded to the carbs existing bracket so it doesn't move. We didn't have the problem with the #4 side tab moving.
Also, re-drill a new hole for the return spring so it's end is under the round linkage arm, allowing it to pull parallel with the arm.
