selling you this won't do you any good without the pictured tools, but we wanted to show what a permanent helicoil looks like and what's involved to install one.
The tools pictured cut the new threads and then ease the install of the wire wound helicoil into the VW air cooled cylinder head.
Other helicoil kits will look different and will let you repair smaller holes.
Once installed, the bent tang is then twisted to be removed. Once removed, the helicoil becomes extremely difficult to pull out by hand.
They don't unscrew like the hard solid helicoils.
Part# 4013 is a temporary repair and they commonly come out every time you change your spark plug. Eventually threads will weaken and fall away from either the helicoil or the head.
