When you remove your axle tube from the trans, this is the piece of plastic that is between the tube and the inner side cover.

When installing these, you'll need new side cover gaskets* also.
On a recent install, our side cover required 16 gaskets (.074 thickness compressed) so our new daisy (.044 thickness at the end of a 'petal') play would allow the axle to move (not freely, but with a slight nudge) when the side cover was torqued.
*these gaskets (small diameter with 6 holes) are found in transmission gasket sets. Most sets don't have but 6 or 8, so plan on buying 2 gasket sets to have enough cover gaskets on hand.
