case saver install tool - how to make one

Part number:
csit
Description:
If you want to install your own case savers, here's what you can do that's easy:
1) grab one of the head studs you'll be using
2) put two of the head nuts that fit that stud on one end of the stud and gently tighten them together
3) put two more of those nuts on the opposite end of the same stud and tighten them together, leaving the end nut hanging well off the studs end
4) grab a grinder and grind away the end of the end nut, so it is tapered from mid point of the nut to the threaded end of the nut
5) Cool it off in water
6) loosen the nut you just ground on. Spin both those nuts up the stud leaving about 2 threads of the stud exposed
7) spin on your case saver to those 2 threads showing - decide NOW whether or not to use a thread locker on the case saver and or block
8) thread the case saver into your block until the tapered nut hits the block
9) back out the stud. if the case saver comes out with it, screw it back in again and then loosen the nut holding the nut that spins the case saver and unscrew the stud again. This time it will not unscrew the case saver
10) repeat until you come to the deep inset stud hole at the top left on #3. For that one, you'll need either a long, very thin, piece of pipe to fit both the od of the stud and the od of the blocks hole OR you might be able to do what I did:
11) wrap electrical tape around the stud (to replace the two nuts) and screw the case saver in. The tape will eventually bunch up under pressure, but the case saver went all the way in.
