Description:
Replace your 12 volt generator (or worn out 51 amp alt) with a new 60 amp China made alternator. Alt is NOT chrome.
Kit includes: A new 60 amp alternator with built in regulator, a chrome alternator stand to replace your old stand. A 3 piece tin set (the cover is chrome) saves you from having to clean 50 years of junk off the old set. A chrome alt strap. A new chrome pulley for the alt and a new belt.
If you want the kit as it comes without my following recommendations:
I recommend the part# 16-5161 stainless T bolt alternator strap we sell.
This kit is a good start if you plan on converting from 6 volt to 12 volt also.
Get part 9524-B shroud screws so you can put it together with new screws.
Also get a 113 101 221B new alt stand gasket so you don't have a leak when you're all done.
Consider tool 5761 for ease of removing your old oil filler from the gen stand.
Ask us for wiring instructions if you don't know how to do it, because these kits don't come with easy wiring instructions. I can make it easy for you.
