Description:
This kit install* requires body removal.
You'll remove the existing oil lines from the back of the fan shroud, where one set comes off the oil cooler adapter. The cooler adapter is set up with the TOP port being the EXIT port and the BOTTOM port being the inlet port.
You'll remove the existing oil lines (save them) from the oil cooler also. The oil cooler is NOT directional, so either side is inlet or exit.
You'll need to drill a few holes to mount the oil filter adapter in place.
Route the new oil hoses: leave the engine and go to the oil filter, leave the oil filter and go to the oil cooler, leave the oil cooler and go back to the engine.
Secure the hoses and replace the body.
Our install used 110" of new oil line.
Our kit comes with:
1 piece of 1/2" oil line 120" long part# 9284
1 oil filter adapter ports left part# 9244
1 pair of barbs part# 9212-0
You'll need: 2 extra hose clamps and 1 Fram PH3950 oil filter and an extra quart of oil to bring your oil level back up after you start your engine.
Some zip ties to help keep things tidy will help
Depending on your exhaust, you may need to mount the filter somewhere else.
