Description:
cc kit for 85.5mm & 90.5mm, 92mm & 94mm head openings.
You can't know what your cc's are in the VW air cooled head unless you use this first.
If you don't use this, you also can't know what your COMPRESSION RATIO is.
Kit comes with 3 discs for inserting into the chamber, and a syringe to measure and insert the fluid with.
Since these do not come with instructions:
We use vegetable oil in the hypo and a spare spark plug to plug the plug hole.
We use wheel bearing grease since it is thin, on the edge of the plastic disc we will insert into the combustion chamber. Use a very little bit around the edge of the plastic disc.
When you drop it into the chamber and the grease contacts the cylinder's seat surface, it will form a seal. Press lightly to squish the disc flat onto the cyl seat surface.
Fill the hypo to the 60cc mark and then squirt it very slowly into the opening of the disc.
Rotate the head to let any air bubbles escape through the opening and continue filling the chamber until the air bubbles are all out.
If after filling the chamber up to the opening in the disc, you have 8cc of vegetable oil left, your chamber is 52cc large.
When you're done, you can remove the disc and draw the fluid back out with the hypo and put it back into whatever container you got it from.
Many tools can be used and they don't show any signs. For that reason: Tools sold on our site are not returnable for any reason.
