This builder has had to open up to 3 packages of these shims to get all 4 that were close to .015 thick so they all matched in thickness.
If you want your rocker shafts sitting parallel to the head on install, you might consider doing the same.
These shims are stamped out, not cut out. As a result of the stamping process, the edge of the shim may 'read' thicker than the shim is on your micrometer. If in question, you should file the edges then measure.
