This BUG roof rack by Empi, comes knocked down (disassembled) in a big box that only weighs 20#s so UPS can ship it.
Silver powder coated.
Relies on the vehicles rain gutter for mounting and support.
Sure you have to put it together, but it's easy to do.
Pete is shown putting together his BUS* rack (similar to the BUG rack sold here) with very few tools.

43 3/4" wide at front edge
43" wide at rear edge
37 1/2" long
13" tall from the rain gutter mount to the top bar
*A BUS rack won't fit the BUG - A BUG rack won't fit the BUS
