Description:
Shown on a dual carb'd engine I built a few years ago and on a single carb'd engine I just built*.
Ceramic coated on the outside. For 1776cc engines on up. Empi boxed.
Does not have heat risers.
Empi says that you should warm up and then allow a cool down period on any ceramic coating to "season" the ceramic prior to reaching any high rpm/temps. Otherwise some blemishing may occur.
*The pics show that if you start off by installing all the pipes with the nuts tight, the end result will be a tangle of angles that will make slipping on the end collector impossible.
START your install by having the pipes just barely on the exhaust studs with your nuts & washers. THEN start installing the end collector, taping gently with a hammer to drive the pipes up into the collector. THEN install the springs to keep the pipes there. THEN start twisting the collector so the downswept pipe points where you want it. THEN tighten down the nuts & washers holding the pipes to the head.
Exhaust systems or their components will not be accepted for return or credit if there is evidence of having been installed or used.
