This looks just like the fresh air hose (shown) that comes off the bug upright shroud and goes down to the heater boxes.
It is an aluminum hose that ACTUALLY measures 60mm* (2 3/8") inside and is 14"/16" compressed length. It'll stretch to 1000mm or 39" says Empi.
Empi bagged. Depending on how many you buy, these may not be bagged (part# 3379).
Shown attached to a type 4 heat booster fan installed above our 74 Thing's transmission
* I used a tailpipe expanding tool and inserted it into the end of the hose. After I tightened on the tool, I had successfully expanded the ends to 62 and was able to fit the hose where I needed it. My application was not VW in this case.
