Replace your 12 volt generator with a more powerful alternator (New China 60 amp).
This kit is a good start if you plan on converting from 6 volt to 12 volt also.
Kit includes:
New alternator with built in regulator
A paintable alternator stand.
No stand gasket included. See part# 113 101 221B.
A new black 3 piece tin set saves you from having to clean 50 years of junk off the old set
A new stock style chrome strap.
Woodruf keys on both ends.
Instructions.
An installed pic shows a modification we made to the alt strap for a much better fit. We also used a slightly longer bolt than what is supplied and a nylock nut on that strap.
