Fuel pump 12-1600 generator style for bugs - ghia 71-73 - bus 71, fastback / squareback 62-67.
This pump needs the pump rod which is 108mm long.
This pumps lever is up inside the pump when you look sideways at it, hence, it's an inny.
Comes with 2 new gaskets.
Chinese.

*The installed picture is proof that the phrase "generator style" is only for reference to an otherwise early pump rod.
Also referred to as a mechanical pump.
VW fuel pumps require the pushrod or pump rod to travel 3/16". If you don't have this much travel, your pump will not work correctly.
For example:
A 100mm long pump rod will stick out above the paper gasket 5mm tall at it's tallest point of travel. It will only stick out 1mm at it's lowest point. Therefore it's travel is 4mm or 3/16"
This pump WILL NOT WORK if you have a Weber 32/36 or similar carb kit because of manifold clearance issues with the inlet nipple on the pump. It's too close to install a hose clamp on the fuel line.
