Description:
manifold accepts 40, 44 HPMX, 40, 44 & 48 IDF or DRLA carbs.
CENTER section cast aluminum (with 1 1/2" tubes).
For single center mount style carb mounting.
Comes with heat riser tubes*, carb base gaskets, carb linkage (43-5208-8) and mounting hardware.
*these slip into a cast recess at the bottom of the manifold.
The heat deposited in this area from the exhaust gases will quickly transfer to the rest of the manifold casting.
The fit of these to your exhaust system heat riser stubs is rarely perfect so you should be prepared to show your fabricating skills.
This builder uses longer than needed bolts so I can begin the alignment process while heating and bending (by soft hammer blows) to finish the alignment.
Than I remove the bolts that were too long and replace them with shorter ones.
